Summer is gone

It is finally cold outside, the heat is on and I am wearing a sweater today. But I do have some pictures to remember the beautiful Calla Lilies from early summer.

If you look closely you can see a little black bug on the lily

Just because

I like these photos, not because they are perfect but just because I like them.
The best part of this photo is the shadow from the hula hooper. It looks like she is suspended in the air.

A classic walk down the lane.

Spring Grove Cemetery has some really cool monuments and statues. This one is missing detail in the whites but I don't care, I like the statue.

Photo from inside a hospital room in Clifton.

The haunted hallway of the Showboat Majestic. I have never seen any ghosts there, but I have heard many stories of the Captain walking the halls.

I took this photo after a photography class at The Cincinnati Art Academy. I like how the windows reflect the surrounding buildings.

Over the Rhine Celebration

Over the Rhine in Cincinnati has a street fair once a month to celebrate the neighborhood diversity and revitalization.
The name Over the Rhine comes from German immigrants during the mid 19th century. These immigrants had to walk across the city canals, which separated Over the Rhine from downtown Cincinnati. The immigrants referred to the canal as the Rhine in reference to Rhine River in Germany.

Fun fact....In the 1880's Cincinnati was recognized as the "Beer capitol of the world"

Elvis Presley

You never know when you will see someone famous.
I see the sign and then an hour later
I see the real thing standing by the sign.
