Over the Rhine Celebration

 Over the Rhine in Cincinnati has a street fair once a month to celebrate the neighborhood diversity and revitalization.

The name Over the Rhine comes from German immigrants during the mid 19th century. These immigrants had to walk across the city canals, which separated Over the Rhine from downtown Cincinnati. The immigrants referred to the canal as the Rhine in reference to Rhine River in Germany.

 

                  Fun fact....In the 1880's Cincinnati was recognized as the "Beer capitol of the world"

One afternoon I heard a rattling sound from the bathroom. I really didn't think much about it, but after a few minutes I realized that I had not seen Tito in awhile. I walk out into the hallway and this is what I found.

What is Purdy?

Good question. Purdy is Pretty Unique Recycled Designs Everyday! So outside of my other loves, photography and theatre, I take used stuff and create new designs. Right now I am focusing on aprons. I spent the entire day today sewing and sewing. My neck hurts alittle but I think it will be worth the pain. The great thing is that the sky's the limit with Purdy. I will be posting pictures of my aprons by the end of the week.  So stay tuned.........
